A compact micro-ATX motherboard based on the AMD B850 chipset, aimed at mid-range gaming and work systems with a focus on stability and modern interfaces. The model belongs to the GAMING PLUS series, which undergoes rigorous factory durability testing and is designed for intensive workloads, including high-resolution gaming and multitasking. Equipped with the AM5 socket for compatibility with AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series processors (Zen 4/5), providing support for TDP up to 170 W.

A 13-phase Duet Rail digital power design with P-PAK MOSFETs and two 8-pin connectors ensures stable voltage under heavy loads with aggressive PBO. Memory support is implemented in dual-channel mode with four DDR5 DIMM slots, allowing up to 256 GB at a maximum frequency of 8200 MHz. The memory supports AMD EXPO for automatic tuning of frequency and timings, as well as MSI Memory Boost for improved performance in high-bandwidth scenarios.

The MSI B850M GAMING PLUS Wi‑Fi 6E offers two M.2 slots (PCIe 5.0/4.0 x4) with EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II heatsinks and convenient tool-less mounts.
