Belongs to the IronWolf Pro HDD line of 2022, which includes 22 models of various capacities, from 2 GB to 24 TB, designed for enterprise-level data storage systems. Designed for continuous 24/7 operation. Thanks to its reliability and proven ability to withstand heavy loads over extended periods, all IronWolf Pro models have been approved by QNAP.
The high 7200 RPM spindle speed and 256 MB large cache memory allow the Seagate IronWolf Pro ST8000NT001 hard drive to offer consistently high data transfer speeds reaching 255 MB/s, making it a good choice for fast processing of large files. CMR technology ensures stable write performance, which is important for effective RAID array operations. Hard drives in this family are equipped with vibration sensors and support two-plane balancing technology AgileArray, providing high performance in multi-disk network storage systems. The manufacturer claims an impressive lifespan (550 TB/year with a 5-year warranty), which is nearly three times that of regular consumer HDDs. Can be installed in workstations oriented towards streaming large volumes of digital content.

I have 2 ST4000NE001 drives, have been using them for 3 months now, a very good option for the money and significantly cheaper than WD. Overall satisfied, they heat up to 38 while writing, 34 when idle. Overall super! + -  Andrii Beshta: use Seagate ST4000NE001 few months |
