Huawei Mate 30 Pro 128 GB / LTE (LIO-AL00)
Photos 41 | Outdated Product £436.77 The main difference between the Mate 30 Pro and last year's Mate 20 Pro is the new top-end Kirin 990 processor, and a focused focus on improved photo and video shooting. If we look at the points, then the Mate 30 Pro can shoot slowmotion video at a frame rate of 7680 fps, which is the best indicator among all smartphones at the end of 2019. The matrix has also been updated — the maximum operating light sensitivity is ISO 409600 (the previous record belongs to Huawei P30 and complies with: ISO 204800). Comparing with the neighboring flagship, Samsung Galaxy Note10 Plus, it can be noted that, in addition to shooting modes, processor, display diagonal, there are obvious differences in the size of the camera matrices: 1/1.54" versus 1/2.55". In simple terms, the Mate 30 Pro with the same lens...aperture transmits ~ 40% more light (images in low light will be better) than the Note10 Plus matrix. The manufacturer has added a HDR + video mode at 4K resolution, and reduced the focal length of the lens, which will allow macro shooting from a distance of 2.5 cm (5 cm in the classic version). Having 4 lenses, two of them work with optical stabilization. Considering the Huawei Kirin 990 processor in more detail, we can note the test results. In terms of digital points, it outweighed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and the freshly released Apple A13. 40W fast charging charges a 4500mAh battery up to 50% in 30 minutes. Compared to Note 10 Plus 4300 mAh battery, where fast charging has a power of 25 W: 50% in 40 minutes. Mate 30 Pro comes in two versions. For the Asian and US markets, the Mate 30 Pro model is supplied with a 5G modem. Europe and other countries are limited to Mate 30 Pro without 5G modem. Otherwise, there are no differences. |

The new flagship is better than the old two
Externally, the Mate 30 Pro is similar to the Huawei P30 Pro, but there is a fundamental difference on the back — the camera is made in the style of conventional cameras: the sensors are located in a round module and are surrounded by a ring. In our opinion, it looks very cool and unusual. Adds colour to the fact that models with a back surface made of eco-leather will enter the market. You don't see that often. The case itself is protected according to the IP68 standard and can withstand immersion to a depth of 1.5 metres for a period of 30 minutes.
Quad camera from Leica
Now about the main pride of the smartphone, the quad-camera, in the development of which specialists from Leica took part. She once again placed first on DxOMark with a score of 131 in the photo tests. Before him, no device received such a high rating. The experts were satisfied with almost all of the four main modules of the flagship and especially highlighted the excellent noise reduction in the pictures with excellent detail. The night mode is also pleasing, which also became the best among all the models tested by DxOMark. If you are going to shoot at night, then take it and you can't go wrong. The camera can also shoot super slow motion videos at 7680 fps at 720p and at 960 fps at 1080p. There is support for ISO up to 51200, the ability to blur the background on the video.
Unusual waterfall screen
The Mate 30 Pro received a 6.53-inch OLED Horizon Display with a resolution of 2400x1176 pixels — the same “waterfall” display as the Vivo Nex 3. The edges of the screen are curved 88 degrees, which creates the effect of a “flowing” display down. In addition, you can use these faces to control the volume and camera: swipe up or down — and the sound will become louder or quieter, tap on the edge — and click a selfie. The solution is original, but not everyone will like it.
The most powerful mobile processor
Inside the flagship, a top-end Huawei Kirin 990 processor is installed in conjunction with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of RAM. According to digital “points”, the new Kirin outweighed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and the freshly released Apple A13 and claims to be the most powerful mobile processor. In addition, we note the presence of a fingerprint scanner built into the screen, NFC, fast charging and wireless reverse charging: that is, a smartphone can charge other gadgets wirelessly.
