JBL really pampers users with a large selection of headphones. How not to get lost among this abundance, we have already told, and today we will talk about another novelty in the TWS class — Under Armor True Wireless Streak, presented in 2021 and which is the result of a collaboration between two brands: JBL and Under Armor.

All for sport, all for victory

Headphones are fully sharpened for sports. They are protected from dust and water according to the IP67 standard, have 3 pairs of ear tips of different sizes, as well as special flexible silicone Sport Flex Fit tips for a secure fit in the ear. The case is compact, squat and easy to carry in jeans pockets, has a light indication of the discharge and a Type C connector for charging.

In a word, the performance is at a high level, the headphones really sit very comfortably and do not fall out even during intense training, and thanks to the reflective elements you can run in them even at night, car drivers will definitely notice you.

The model is available in 4 colours: black, light red white and turquoise. But you will hardly find the last two in our market.

Up to 6 hours on a single charge

The model claims battery life up to 6 hours, plus two more times it can be charged from the case. Modest by today's standards, on the other hand, it will be enough for 3-4 days, even if you use it intensively. It will take two hours to fully charge.

Technology on guard of sound

What Under Armor True Wireless Streak has worked very, very carefully on is sound quality. It is very impressive here both when playing music and in headset mode. Signature JBL Harman basses are heard in all their glory. High in moderation, they are not pulled up, they do not cut the ear, the middle is even, the scene is read well.

Ambient Aware technology allows external sounds to penetrate inside the isolation, ensuring the safety of the environment. And Talk Thru's transparency mode mutes music and amplifies speech so you can comfortably chat with someone without having to remove the earpiece. Calling is also comfortable, 2 Dual Beamforming microphones with wind protection technology are quite clear and at the same time naturally transmit speech to the subscriber, so it is almost impossible to distinguish whether you are talking through a headset or directly. But of course, all these "improvers" will not save you from too noisy environments. So, for an important call, it is better to find a quieter place.

Sensitive sensors

Multifunctional buttons support all standard commands, except for volume control, including calling voice assistants. The only tangible drawback is that they are touch sensitive. The problem of random triggering, which is characteristic of many touch TWS, has not gone away. So you have to put up with it and be more careful with your hands.

The JBL Under Armor True Wireless Streak are, without a doubt, good headphones created in the best traditions of the two brands, but like all JBL products, they are a bit overpriced, in our subjective opinion. For the $140 price tag, we would advise looking towards the Sennheiser CX True Wireless or Sony SP800N, which look more solid in every sense.
