The top model of JBL's JR children's series is available in three design options. In addition to the blue-light blue and red-pink versions, there is a more neutral white-gray version. Regardless of the color, the headphones boast a lightweight of 196 grams and well-thought-out comfort. For convenient carrying, they feature a folding design with swivel cups.

Active Noise Cancellation

The JBL JR470NC is equipped with 32 mm drivers and an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system, which reduces external noise levels and allows listening to music at a more moderate volume. Initially, the maximum sound level is limited to 81 dB, and through the proprietary app, it can be reduced even further. Adults also have access to parental control features and detailed usage statistics with daily and weekly reports.

Combined Connectivity and Cool Battery Life

The model supports two connection options: via cable through mini-Jack and via Bluetooth 5.3. The wired mode comes with a 1.2-meter cable with a plug angled at 45°. The wireless connection supports Multipoint, allowing for quick switching between two devices, such as a smartphone and a laptop. The range is extended up to 15 meters, which is especially useful for active children.

Inside, there is a 500 mAh battery. Without active noise cancellation, it provides up to 50 hours of music listening or up to 34 hours of talking, as there are two microphones built into the case. Fast charging via USB-C is also provided: just 5 minutes of connection gives up to 3 additional hours of work.

The JBL JR470NC is priced higher than most children's headphones but offers really high comfort levels, excellent battery life, and active noise cancellation in return. Meanwhile, there aren’t many direct competitors on the market with similar features and comparable cost.
