The cordless Karcher LTR 18-25 trimmer is great for cutting lawn grass - especially the one that grows along fences, curbs and paths. It is light (weight about 2 kg with battery) and compact, so it can maneuver between flower beds, beds and bushes - where a full-size lawn mower cannot fit. The width of the mowing strip is 25 cm. The vegetation is cut with a twisted fishing line having a diameter of 1.6 mm. The design of the trimmer provides for the possibility of installing a plastic knife, which is better than a fishing line, suitable for mowing thick meadow and swamp grass (it is purchased separately, the trimmer head with knives can be found in the accessories catalog under article 2.444-022.0).
Simple and reliable design
The button on the side of the handle is designed to unlock the bar. It can be rotated 90° to bring the mowing head into a position perpendicular to the ground for lawn edging. The trimmer has no other settings: the handles are not adjustable, and the bar does not move apart. Therefore, this tool is not particularly suitable for tall people, because they have to mow the lawn in a slightly bent position. If your height is above average, then it is better to buy a Karcher LTR 18-30 cordless trimmer with a telescopic rod, the length of which can be changed to suit your needs.
One battery for all your Karchers
The tool comes with a 2.5 Ah rechargeable battery. The manufacturer claims that it is enough for about 30 minutes of mowing (users in the reviews write about 20 - 25 minutes of work, depending on the stiffness of the grass and the density of the lawn). The battery has an LCD display that shows in real time the remaining charge and how many minutes are left until it is completely discharged. Batteries of this type can also be used with other types of cordless tools and garden equipment of the same brand: brush cutters, blowers, chain saws and even some vacuum cleaners.
