A professional cordless screwdriver designed to perform assembly and construction or assembly operations. In terms of useful power (350 W), it is approximately equal to the network models produced by the same Makita. The tool is equipped with a brushless motor with protection against excessive heat and overload. For efficient operation, 2 gear speeds and 21 torque settings (up to 50 Nm at maximum) are provided.
The keyless chuck allows the use of all types of HEX hex bits and drills with shank diameters up to 13 mm. Compact dimensions (169x79x238 mm) allow you to use the Makita DDF485RFJ screwdriver in tight spaces, and the LED backlight allows you to work in places with poor lighting. Proprietary "Makitov" XPT technology provides good protection of the "insides" from dust and moisture - you can work in dusty lighting or outdoors in wet weather. The screwdriver comes with two batteries (3 Ah each) and a box from the Makpac modular system.

Better and more powerful than corded drills
In many ways, the Makita DDF485RFJ cordless drill/driver can compete with corded models such as the Makita DF0300 and Makita HP0300. This screwdriver is equipped with a modern brushless motor with a power of 350 W and a torque of 50 Nm. These characteristics allow it to tighten self-tapping screws up to 6x75 mm in size, work with screws up to M6 and drill holes with a diameter of up to 38 mm in wood and up to 13 mm in metal blanks and sheet steel.
Standard features and unusual technologies
To effectively perform various tasks, the tool is equipped with a 21-stage torque adjustment clutch and a two-speed gearbox. High speed (1900 rpm) is for drilling, and low speed (500 rpm) is for working with fasteners. In addition, the trigger button allows you to adjust the speed of the chuck, although it may be somewhat less sensitive. The quick-release chuck allows the use of drills with shanks up to 13 mm in diameter and all types of hexagonal replaceable bits. It is important to note that this Makita model features a durable design with XPT technology that provides protection against dust and moisture, allowing it to be used in harsh environments.
Perfect balance
The Makita DDF485RFJ drill-driver is a balanced tool that is not too heavy and not too light (weight 1.5 kg) and has moderate dimensions (the length from the chuck jaws to the “back” of the body is 169 mm). It is this balance that makes it popular among a variety of professionals such as roofers, installers, electricians, builders, furniture assemblers and auto mechanics who need a versatile tool for drilling and working with fasteners.
The package includes two 3 Ah batteries, a fast charger (charges the battery in just 22 minutes), and a Makita 821550-0 case from the Makpac series, which can be connected to other boxes of this system.
