Microsoft has announced the latest tracking technology — Microsoft BlueTrack Technology, which allows you to use a computer mouse at any distance and work confidently with it on a variety of surfaces. Microsoft's new development combines the range and power of optical technology with the precision of laser tracking, allowing consumers to work on virtually any surface, from granite kitchen countertops to living room carpet.

Inside the case
The wide blue beam and mirrored optics configuration, combined with a Microsoft-designed image sensor and proprietary pixel geometry, produce a high-contrast image of the target surface for exceptional tracking accuracy. The BlueTrack Technology light beam emitted from the underside of the mouse is more than four times thicker than the average laser beam used in today's computer mice, allowing you to capture a larger image and stable tracking even on difficult surfaces such as carpet

BlueTrack Technology debuts in two new high-end computer mice from Microsoft, the full-size Explorer Mouse and the smaller Explorer Mini Mouse. These mice combine revolutionary tracking technology with a sophisticated and exclusive design. The chrome finish and blue lighting around the underside of the mouse create a soft glow that makes these products unlike any other device on the market. The ergonomic right-handed shape provides many hours of comfortable use, while 2.4 GHz wireless technology guarantees reliable communication within a range of up to 10 metres. Attachable mini transceiver adds storage and portability, allowing consumers to take a full-size mouse on the go
