It does not have a built-in battery and does not support a wireless Bluetooth interface. It connects to the tablet via the Surface Connect magnetic interface with a 6-pin group, through which it also receives power. The Microsoft Surface Pro X Keyboard design matches the size of 13-inch screens of Microsoft Surface Pro. The top part of the keyboard is equipped with a Magnetic Stability strip, allowing you to attach the edge of the keyboard to the lower bezel of the tablet at an angle to enhance typing ergonomics and device stability on your lap. When the keyboard is flipped back, built-in sensors disable input to prevent accidental key presses. Magnetic sensors in the cover manage the tablet's screen state, putting it to sleep when closed and waking it up when opened. The keys have a tactilely comfortable mechanism with a 1.0 mm key travel.
