Relatively affordable entry-level gaming graphics card with a striking outdoor design, support for VR headsets and 4K/8K monitor support. The hardware basis of this model was the AMD Polaris 20 XT (14 nm) graphics processor, which works in conjunction with a moderate amount of GDDR5 graphics memory. Belongs to the products of the famous MSI ARMOR gaming series of 2017, supports factory overclocking profiles, has all the tools for successful custom overclocking. It is positioned as a product of the basic price category, designed for use as part of a low-cost gaming PC or universal home systems. The performance of the MSI RX 570 ARMOR 4G OC graphics card is quite enough for comfortable gaming in all popular games of 2015-2020 at a resolution of 1920x1080 at high or medium-high graphics quali...ty settings. The efficient GPU microarchitecture fully supports the latest Direct X12 and Open GL 4.5 APIs, allowing you to use the most advanced and spectacular visual effects. The graphics card is equipped with an efficient and quiet two-slot cooling system based on heat pipes with advanced aluminium fins. Its massive heatsink is cooled by two durable axial fans with dispersive blades. In the absence of a serious load on the GPU, MSI ZeroFrozr technology puts the cooling system into a silent passive mode.

Nothing extra

In the MSI range, you can find 2 options for the RX 570: Gaming and Armor. The first one has slightly higher memory and core frequencies, colorful lighting and game design. The second one has slightly lower operating frequencies (but still high), a minimum of unnecessary decorations, a quiet cooler and a 60% lower price tag. Not surprisingly, the Armor RX 570 model is still actively sold, and the Gaming version is very difficult to find.

Serious memory overclocking

The card is based on the Polaris architecture (manufactured using a 14nm process) and has 4 GB of video memory. But if the standard versions have operating frequencies of 1168 MHz, then here we have overclocked out of the box to 1268 MHz. If we talk about manual overclocking, then the picture is not quite usual: with an increase in the power limit, the core rests on the ceiling of 1400 MHz. It's not bad, but not the ultimate dream. But memory, on the contrary, accelerates with a bang, rising from 7000 to 8000 and above. If you tinker with the power limit and find the right settings, you can get a very good increase in power.

MSI TORX cooler with silent mode

To cool all this goodness, a simplified version of the MSI TORX cooler with a pair of rather large metal-styled coolers is used. Interestingly, the cooler supports the ZeroFrozr technology, which completely stops the operation of the coolers when there is no load. However the cooling system causes ambiguous impressions, since at a core temperature of less than 60 degrees it is almost inaudible, but as soon as this threshold is crossed, the coolers begin to make noise, be healthy.
