The board is noticeably different from NVIDIA's reference version of the RTX 4060 Ti - it is 31 cm long, it takes up two motherboard slots, and it uses 3 massive TORX FAN fans to cool the GPU and memory with support for the completely silent Zero Frozr passive mode.

The manufacturer positions this video card as a replacement for NVIDIA GPUs of previous generations (RTX 2060 and 2060 Super) for games at 1080p and 1440p. In terms of raw performance, the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti VENTUS 3X 8G OC can easily deliver 60 FPS in any 2022-2023 gaming blockbuster at max quality settings at 1080p. According to average gaming tests, the RTX 4060 Ti outperforms its predecessor RTX 3060 Ti by an average of 6-8%, but at the same time it lags behind the GeForce RTX 3070 with which it was initially compared in many reviews by an average of 8%.

But for games in 4K, this is not the most suitable option, since it lacks the power of the GPU and 8 GB of video memory. The GPU is based on the AD 106-350/351 chip with the Ada Lovelace architecture, which is manufactured using TSMC's improved 5nm process technology. This chip contains 4352 CUDA cores and runs at 2580 MHz. The amount of GDDR6 video memory is 8 GB (frequency 18000 MHz), a 128-bit bus with a bandwidth of 288 GB / s is used for data exchange.

The card supports all the technologies native to the GeForce RTX 4000 series graphics cards, including DLSS 3 scaling technology with frame generation, ray tracing, and hardware support for the AV1 encoder. With all the architectural improvements, MSI's RTX 4060 Ti also has reduced power consumption - unlike the monstrous GPUs of past generations, which required power supplies up to 850W, a 500-550W PSU is enough here.
