The Nissin i60A is a compact on-camera flash aimed at advanced photo enthusiasts. The model has tiny dimensions of 98 mm in height, 73 mm in width and 112 mm in depth with a weight of 300 g. Moreover, it is not inferior to the more venerable “puffs” in terms of power and level of functional charge.
Range
The angle of scattering of light from the flash head is adjustable over a wide range of focal lengths from 24 to 200 mm. At its maximum focal length, the Nissin i60A has a guide number of 60 (at ISO 100). The head of the model rotates 180° in the horizontal plane and deviates up to an angle of up to 90°. Unfortunately, it doesn't go down. A wide-angle diffuser is pulled out from under the main light source, and a sliding reflector is placed on the top of the head.
Control wheels
The flash controls are located on the bottom of the body. They are represented by two wheels: the left one is responsible for switching operating modes, the right one is for adjusting the power of “puffs” or video light, adjusting the exposure, zoom or synchronization channel. The model provides a video light with nine brightness levels, there are manual and automatic modes of operation of pulsed light, a TTL mode with the ability to make manual adjustments. Separately on the right wheel are analogue and digital slave flash modes (Sf and Sd), as well as TTL wireless NAS flash control with synchronization on 8 channels in 3 groups. For greater clarity of the set parameters, the model was equipped with a colour LCD screen.
Solid pluses
The flash recycle time ranges from 0.1 to 5.5 sec. The list of positive qualities of the Nissin i60A is reinforced by support for high-speed synchronization up to 1/20000 sec., which allows you to highlight the subject in bright sunlight. The model is available in versions for common mirror and mirrorless systems, in addition to it, you will need to buy a set of four AA batteries and a charger for them, so as not to change the "finger" batteries like gloves.
