Automation in action
The charger automatically detects the type of cell connected, selects the optimal current, assesses the charge level, and ends the process when it’s complete. Power is supplied via a USB Type-C port. For maximum efficiency, use a wall adapter that supports the Quick Charge 2.0 protocol — in this case, the device can deliver up to 3,000 mA to a single slot or 750 mA per slot when charging all channels simultaneously.
LED indicators
Each slot has its own LED indicators. One green indicator corresponds to about 30% charge, two to around 80%, and three to a full 100%. The red light signals that fast charging is in progress. If a battery is faulty, all four dots above the corresponding slot blink at the same time to warn of a problem.
Safety first
The Nitecore Ci4 is compatible with Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, and Li-ion batteries. A dedicated safe mode for IMR cells prevents overcharging. The built-in protection system covers overloads, short circuits, and reverse polarity, and intelligently manages temperature to ensure stable, safe operation.
