The Nokia 6760 slide is a compact smartphone with a unique layout and a full-size QWERTY keyboard. One of the smallest devices in its class.
The Nokia 6760 slide is made in the form factor of a side slider. The main material is plastic, the build quality is good, although there are slight backlashes. Despite the small size, it fits comfortably in the hand, partly due to the soft-touch plastic finish, which does not slip when held.
There is no separate numeric keypad. On the front panel, under the screen, there are only a few control keys — a five-way joystick, function buttons, answer and end buttons, and, in addition, three buttons — access to the menu, browser and mail (they are located to the left of the screen). The last two of them can be reconfigured to launch any application the user desires.
On the right side of the case are the volume and camera control buttons. There is also a slot for memory cards, but to access it you need to remove the back cover. On the top end there is a 2.5 mm headphone jack, a 2 mm charger plug, covered with a plug, and an external speaker. The microUSB connector is located on the left side surface. At the bottom there is a button for removing the back cover. On the very back cover, only the built-in camera lens stands out.
The buttons on the QWERTY keyboard are quite comfortable, despite the small size of the device. The keyboard is 4-row, easy to open with one hand, there is auto-finishing. Navigation keys are missing.
Due to the design features, dialing a number for a call without opening the phone can only be done by selecting from the phone book or call log.
The 2.4'' screen has good viewing angles and normal visibility in the sun. Automatic brightness adjustment is provided. The orientation can also change automatically thanks to the built-in accelerometer, but when the keyboard is folded out, it is only horizontal. In general, the phone is designed to be used mainly in a horizontal position.
Multimedia applications are standard, there is a mid-range audio player and an FM receiver. Headsets have a 2.5 mm jack, so you need an adapter to use headphones with a standard 3.5 mm jack. Bluetooth stereo headsets are supported.
The camera is also quite ordinary — 3.2 megapixels, without autofocus and flash, with three options for shooting quality and a set of standard settings. Available video recording with a maximum resolution of 320x240, 11 frames per second in MP4 format.
Of the data exchange standards, it is worth noting the lack of Wi-Fi, which is rather unpleasant for a smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard.
Lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 1500 mAh and with an average load provides up to three days of work without recharging. The maximum operating time for continuous video viewing is 7 hours, Internet connection — 5.5 hours, listening to music on headphones — 16.5 hours, GPS — 4 hours.
The package includes a rechargeable battery, charger, wired stereo headset, USB cable, 2 GB memory card and instructions.
All in all, the Nokia 6760 slide is a rather specific device, designed for users for whom a comfortable keyboard is the determining factor when choosing a phone. Having such a device, the device practically does not stand out in general functionality. It can be convenient for users who actively use social networks, e-mail and Internet messengers, but the lack of Wi-Fi in this case becomes a serious disadvantage.
