Nokia 8.1 64 GB
![]() | REF £259.99 |
A solid mid-range smartphone in a glass and aluminium case that allows you to use most of the functions that are in demand today without the slightest hint of lag and slowing down the interface. The key to the fast performance of the model is a performant electronic “hardware” with a Snapdragon 710 chip at the head and a “clean” Android 9 Pie system distributed as part of the Android One programme.
The front panel of Nokia 8.1 meets the user with a 6.18-inch FullHD + (2246x1080 pixels) screen with a wide drop-down “notch”. The model needed a cutout at the top of the display in order to accommodate the earpiece and a 20 MP selfie camera. The "chip" of the front photographic sensor is the ability to combine four pixels into one to obtain high-quality self-portraits in low light conditions. A set of 12 + 13 MP cameras from the rear is flavored with an artificial intelligence system and Zeiss optics. A 13 MP auxiliary photomodule is used as part of the main camera to draw spectacular bokeh. In addition, the smartphone is armed with an NFC chip, a dual-band Wi-Fi module and supports the technology of fast “refueling” of 3500 mAh battery tanks.

I spent a long time choosing a replacement for Samsung. Before this I used Sony. The Samsung started to hurt my eyes, so I chose a smartphone with an IPS screen. The choice was between Sony 10+ and Nokia. Sony had only display samples that had been lying around for a year. Didn't take the risk. Taking Nokia in my hands, I realized that I didn’t want to release it and, therefore, the choice was made. The phone is awesome. I don't play games. Internet, calls, instant messengers. The screen is top notch. The eyes do not get tired and you can immediately feel it. The camera shoots at a level even with my not very straight hands in this regard. And he's just beautiful. It’s a pity that plastic has begun to dominate over metal in housings. Metal also played a role in the choice. In general, this phone is not a shame to recommend. And yet this is purely my opinion and my tactile sensations. But I would still recommend trying Nokia. Considering how Chinese soap boxes have flooded the market and are being pushed on almost all networks, Nokia is like a breath of fresh air... no matter how pretentious it may sound. All the world. Pure Android. The phone is very fast. Great camera. Gorgeous display. Assembly. Quality of materials. So far the only drawback is that I don’t want to carry it in a case. use Nokia 8.1 month or more |
An excellent device from Nokia. I don’t see the point of buying in Russian retail, since here we will get a 4/64 GB version, without Android One (everything is the same, just without this inscription and with a different splash screen when turned on) for a substantial overpayment (about 8 kilo rubles in my case) . If you decide to take this model, I advise you to pay attention to the version for Hong Kong (the only differences are the British type charging with an adapter, and waste paper in the box for the ZH-HK language), everything works, LTE frequencies are all in place, there is Android One and the version 6/128 GB, you can find it on Ali, look for TA-1119 and sells for 20-23k₽. The parcel reached me in 13 days. Don't forget to record the unboxing video just in case) 1. Responsiveness is noticeably better compared to Nokia 6 2. Hardly any heating even with intensive tasks due to 10 nm 3. Two days of battery life thanks to 10 nm, lasts all day under constant load 4. The screen is a standout feature, excellent brightness, adaptive brightness works well, excellent blacks for IPS, notch hidden seamlessly in black, excellent colors, HDR 5. Main camera with optical stabilization allows for blur-free photos at 8x zoom in Google Camera. Nokia OZO and electronic stabilization are available in the standard camera up to 4K 6. Pure Android, won't distract you with silly interface problems 7. Excellent audio, and the included earphones have quite clear sound, amazing volume capacity 8. Lightning-fast and accurate fingerprint scanner 9. Comes with a fast charger included 10. Excellent call quality, very loud speaker, good microphone sensitivity, and excellent noise cancellation 1. The glass on the back makes the phone slippery, and the fingerprint scanner's oleophobic coating is barely there (probably needed). 2. The screen has side and top bezels of different thicknesses (the top is about a millimeter wider), and the chin, the bottom edge, has slightly overexposed black. 2. The front-facing camera has exaggerated sharpness, which some might like, but I didn't. 3. The speakers are loud, but the quality is average, though it's not noticeable with headphones. 4. The official price in Russia (29990₽) is not at all equal to the recommended (320€). |
Conclusion - I haven't tested the Redmi 7, they're not available here (Ingolstadt), but for my needs, it fits perfectly. I sinned, installed tanks. On maximum settings, it's 25-40 fps, depending on the graphics. I don't play games, use it for navigation, YouTube, browsers, and books. Kind of a budget package))) The camera is also decent. The one here is completely satisfying; at night, yes, only in pro mode can you capture something coherent. Who should consider it: - Fans of good build quality and materials who aren't obsessed with taking photos of everything and themselves (although the 20mp selfie camera seems good), non-gamers, and those without shaky hands)) - The phone by all metrics (imho) is just below high-end mid-range)) When I get home, I'll feel up the Redmi for its... um, body)). So careful people with demands for a working device will be satisfied, guaranteed)) - Fans of Nokia and those nostalgic for the good old days)) - And simply those who appreciate a bit of uniqueness)) P.S. The guy with the Samsung A50, who bought it with me, is tempted to replace it with this one before two weeks pass)) He says after Nokia, this one is easy on the eyes; we watched Game of Thrones on mine, the AMOLED didn't impress him)) I bought it in Germany for €378, without cashback and other goodies, currently looking for a case)) In order: - I used a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro SE for three years (yes, I know, I'm a bit crazy)). The phone was great, but I wanted something new, and nostalgia got to me) I was choosing between the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, Samsung A50, Huawei P20 Lite, and this machine... There were about 7 intermediate phones I don't remember. I took it in my hand and didn't let go until they brought a new one, in the box, it fit in my hand - appearance. Yes, precisely the look. It doesn't look like iPhone clones, the notch is hidden by the out-of-the-box interface with no option to display it, the back is, in my opinion, just gorgeous - tactile sensation. I handled about a dozen smartphones while choosing, this one and the Sony XA2 feel nice in hand, the others... Feel like soap dishes... - interface. Yes, after MIUI it's a bit sparse, but I found everything I needed for myself without any hassle and... Oh, mein Gott!!!! Messengers don't lag and messages don't delay, they don't unload and browsers don't reload when minimized even after a day (Boat and Via) In general, for now, the stock Android doesn't annoy and pleases me, dare I say it)) - battery. After the 4050 on Xiaomi it worried me a bit, it had 6 hours on screen with internet, here... Everything's good, after 6 hours with again mobile internet 45-50 percent, which is pleasing. An attempt to kill the battery to zero, of course, succeeded, 9h27m on screen with not the best coverage, the internet was constantly reconnecting, there's no screenshot, trust me on this. - camera. And yes, the stabilization makes a difference and the matrix itself isn't bad - there weren't enough characters in the advantages to finish them)) - the body is slippery, without a case it keeps sliding somewhere... - there's a lack of quick access to some Android functions. After MIUI, it's already a habit, but I think it's a matter of time here too - if you insert the charger by feel (type C, by the way), I predict that over time, the aluminum frame will be all scratched up, definitely. You have to do it gently and smoothly, like the first time)) - the glass. God forbid it hits asphalt or tiles, I think the result is clear) - Google Assistant is annoying, I'm looking for how to remove/disable it. Over the weekend, I'll check out 4pda, because it's like Bixby without a button)) That's all for now, we'll keep looking use Nokia 8.1 week i recommend it should buy |
