Compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the body material (aluminum) and the back cover (Ceramic Shield) have been changed, the processor has been improved, the battery life has been extended, the front camera and telephoto lens have been enhanced.
Flagship 17th‑generation Apple smartphone featuring a large 6.9‑inch Super Retina XDR OLED with LTPO. The model belongs to the high-end price segment and is positioned as the most feature-rich solution in the series, designed for demanding users and professionals in photo and video content. The display has a resolution of 3200x1444 pixels, delivers a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz (ProMotion), supports HDR, and reaches a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
Protection is provided by the new Ceramic Shield 2. The hardware platform is built on the Apple A19 Pro chipset with a 6‑core CPU and a 6‑core GPU. The neural engine handles accelerated machine learning tasks and Apple Intelligence services. RAM is 12 GB LPDDR5, and the base configuration includes 256 GB of internal storage. Cooling uses a built‑in liquid cooling system (first time in Apple smartphones).
Battery capacity is 4823 mAh, and charging supports Power Delivery 3.0 up to 40 W wired and Qi2 up to 25 W wireless. The Fusion camera block includes three 48 MP lenses. The system features sensor‑shift optical stabilization, supports 5x and 8x optical zoom, and digital zoom up to 40x. Shooting in ProRAW and ProRes is supported, as well as 4K video recording at 60 fps. The smartphone supports 5G, eSIM, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, satellite connectivity, and connection to external monitors via USB‑C.

I have been using the iPhone 17 Pro Max for some time now, and overall, the impressions are very positive. The smartphone feels like a true flagship: fast, stable, and well-thought-out in details. Switched from the 16 Pro to the 17 Pro Max. I can't even explain to myself why, I just wanted to. But I'm thrilled with the upgrade, the camera is on a whole new level, and the battery life is much better. The design - personally for me, is the most important thing, how it feels in the hand, and the user experience, and this is all top-notch here. Decided to switch from Android to an iPhone. Bought this device and here are my first impressions. I'm not sure about the battery life on other phones before, but I don't like it on the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max. If the battery lasts 24 hours under not too heavy use, then that's good, but I consider it a bit less for such a price. Androids hold a charge much better.
