Nokia N76

They say that Nokia N76 is just a tribute to fashion. This is not entirely fair. Of course, a stylish thin body, ideologically identical to the famous MotoRAZR, cannot be called a "grey working mouse". However, the phone, despite the bold design, which is more typical of frivolous fashion models, is quite functional.

Specifications:

• The body type of the N76 does not dare to be called the trivial word "clamshell", although this is exactly it. The phone is not designed for haste and fuss - it is best opened with two hands. If you have a bluetooth headset, this is not necessary either, since dialing and voice control are provided.
• There are two displays. External, 1.6" in size is capable of displaying 262K colours 89 with a resolution of 128x160. To perform simple tasks - reading messages, controlling the management of some functions, etc., this is quite enough. The internal display is brighter and has much more possibilities - size 2.4`, resolution 240x320 and support for more than 16 million colours.
• The memory capacity of the phone is not very large, only 26 megabytes. However, this can hardly serve as an obstacle to its purchase. For those who want to fully use the player and other multimedia functions to the maximum, there is an expansion slot for microSD memory cards.
• Nokia N76 can work both in traditional networks and next generation networks. GSM 850/900/1800/1900 standards are supported, as well as UMTS (WCDMA) - 3G.

Media:

• As in almost all relatively expensive Nokia models, the N76 has all the basic set of media features. First of all, it is an MP3 player. In addition to MP3 itself, the most common music formats are supported - AAC, eAAC +, WMA. In addition, playback of quite high-quality video is also possible - the player can play MPEG-4 files. The playback quality is quite consistent with the excellent screen properties of the N76.
• In addition to playing multimedia files, you can also simply listen to FM radio. It is very convenient that player and radio control is available from the external panel of the phone.
• There is also a standard voice recorder with a traditional set of functions.

Camera:

• In fact, there are two cameras. One, with a low resolution, is located on the inner panel of the phone and is almost useless so far - it is used for video communication in 3G networks.
• The main camera is located on the outer back of the phone. This allows you to take pictures without opening your phone. For greater convenience, the digital ZOOM control buttons and the photo gallery call are located on the side panels. The Nokia N76 camera uses a 2-megapixel CMOS sensor. The quality of pictures corresponds to the priority tasks of the phone - although it is quite satisfactory, the N76 is first of all a "mobile phone", and only then a camera.
• Video shooting is possible in resolutions up to 320x240, 15 fps. The quality is sufficient for shooting simple amateur video clips (for more on quality, see "camera").
• For editing images, a special programme is installed with a set of simple filters that usually no one ever uses.

Battery:

The capacity of the "native" Li-Ion battery Nokia N76 is 700 mAh. According to the manufacturers, one charge is enough for 2.7 hours of continuous talk time or 8 hours of multimedia use or 200 hours of standby time. There are different responses from users about the real possibilities, but if you do not intend to replace a full-fledged iPod with a phone, the charge will last for a long time.
