Got the headphones on pre-order. On older firmware they sounded pretty great, as long as noise cancelling was on. Without it, the sound went flat, the bass almost disappeared. I figured it was a firmware bug they’d fix soon. With the latest firmware update, with noise cancelling on they now sound flat, with almost no low frequencies left, like cheap knock-off headphones. Without it it’s a bit better, but not like it was on the old firmware. The current version 1.0.1.74 hasn’t updated for over a month. All this time I haven’t been able to use the headphones because they objectively sound bad. I wrote to support several times, tried tweaking the EQ- nothing helps. There’s no way to roll back to the old firmware. On the community site there’s already a whole thread of people unhappy with this situation. With this attitude toward the customer- I don’t recommend it. Better get something from Sony, Bose, or some other reputable brand.
In everything else- I liked them. button controls instead of touch sensors, water resistance, included accessories, battery life, the presence of a 3.5 mm input and a cable in the box. While they sounded good- I listened to my old CD Walkman. The zipper on the case is honestly so-so, I don’t think it’ll last long.
They look cool, quite comfortable
