The intuitive electronic control system allows you to adjust the strength of the drink (3 steps) and regulate its temperature (3 positions). Durable and easy to maintain, the design includes a removable brewing unit, a 1500W boiler, an adjustable dispenser for tall cups (up to 14 cm) and a pump up to 15 bar.

Coffee machine for beans and ground coffee
The model is equipped with a decent water container (1.8 L), a waste container for 12 portions, an automatic mill with ceramic millstones and a classic cappuccinatore for lovers of coffee and milk drinks with delicate foam. Simple design with glossy inserts
Externally, Philips EP2221 looks quite stylish and modern. Almost the entire body of the machine is made of black plastic. The only exceptions are metal decorative elements. At the same time, in some places, the manufacturer also decided to “dilute” the appearance of the coffee machine with glossy plastic inserts. For example, such an overlay is located around the controls. The main disadvantage of using glossy inserts is that they literally “collect prints”.
In terms of available software, the EP2221 doesn't really stand out from the competition. In fact, this model allows you to prepare only espresso, americano or warm water.
Easy disassembly
Philips EP2221 is easy to disassemble and assemble. The cappuccinatore, drip tray (by the way, it has a float that signals that it's time to drain the water) and a coffee grounds container can be washed in the dishwasher. The brewing unit can be simply rinsed under running water.
