Bright Design
Razer Mamba 16000 is a large right-handed model with a slightly shifted back center of gravity (due to the presence of a battery). It is made of practical matte plastic. Thanks to its textured surface, the body is easy to control with different types of grips (palm or fingers).
The model belongs to the Chroma lineup, which means extensive possibilities for lighting customization with RGB format support. Several elements can be illuminated: side strips on both sides, the scroll wheel, and the included docking station. The side strips are additionally divided into 7 zones with the ability to set different lighting effects for each.
Programmable Buttons and Adjustable Click Force
The mouse features 6 buttons and a wheel with horizontal scrolling support (clicks left and right). To the traditional pair of main and two side buttons (under the thumb), a pair of switches for adjusting the sensor sensitivity is added. All buttons and the wheel can be programmed using macros and the proprietary Razer Synapse application.
Additionally, in the Mamba 16000, the click force of the main buttons can be adjusted. On the bottom of the case, there are two slots. By rotating them with a small included screwdriver, you can change the force required for a click (from 45 to 95 grams).
Two Power Modes
Razer Mamba 16000 supports dual connectivity. The mouse can be used in both wireless and wired mode (for example, during charging). The capacity of the built-in battery can be replenished either through the docking station or directly via a USB cable. The battery life ranges from 10 to 20 hours (depending on lighting and polling rate settings).
The main downside of the model is its high price. This can be offset by purchasing the younger wired "sibling" — the Mamba Tournament Edition, which does not support click force adjustment. Otherwise, the model boasts a good flagship set of features and potential for the future (due to the 16000 DPI sensor), so even switching to a large-diagonal 4K monitor won't force a gamer to change the device.
