Far from being the most expensive gaming mouse by Razer standards, it has an increased number of programmable buttons, a Speedflex USB cable, neat RGB backlighting, and indestructible optical key switches with an impressive press life. Part of the 2023 Cobra line, it is positioned as a simpler and more affordable alternative to the uncompromising Cobra Pro esports mouse. Compared to the Cobra Pro, the USB version is lightweight and cheaper, and instead of the elite Focus Pro optical sensor with a sensitivity of 30,000 DPI, it has a simpler optical sensor with a maximum resolution of 8,500 DPI.

The maximum sensor speed is 300 IPS with peak acceleration up to 35G. It connects to a PC or laptop via a classic USB interface using a flexible and soft fabric-braided cord, which sometimes creates the feeling of a wireless connection. The mouse is equipped with 5 buttons, 2 of which are on the front panel, 2 on the side, and one directly under the wheel. Razer third-generation optical switches with a resource of 90 million clicks are used as switches.

The same switches are installed in the Cobra Pro model. The mouse has built-in memory to store different keyboard shortcuts for different games. Unlike the Cobra Pro version, which can store up to 5 profiles with different control settings, the regular Cobra only stores one alternative profile. The model weighs only 58 g, and the weight was kept low without loss of structural rigidity.

High-quality matte plastic has a slightly rough-to-the-touch coating that perfectly resists dirt and is easy to clean. The ergonomic shape allows you to comfortably hold the device with a palm or finger grip, and a switch located on the bottom allows you to change the sensor resolution even directly during the game. Replaceable Teflon feet will ensure that the manipulator moves easily and naturally in any direction. At the back of the case, the company logo and a small strip located at the base are illuminated.
