Such a format of the display structure implies a deeper immersion of the viewer into what is happening on the screen, which is important in games and when consuming multimedia content. The high-definition image is broadcast on a 32-inch Samsung U32R590C screen in a maximum resolution of 4K (3840x2160 pixels). The substrate for the display of the model was a “purebred” ten-bit VA-panel with a static contrast ratio of 2500:1, a responsiveness of 4 ms (when switching from grey pixel to grey) and wide comfortable viewing angles regardless of the viewing plane.
An additional plus in the karma of the screen is the full coverage of the “triangle” of the sRGB colour space (103%). The monitor has a separate game display mode, the function of displaying two images on the screen simultaneously from different video sources (“Picture-in-Picture”). The connection ports on the back of the model are represented by a DisplayPort version 1.2 connector and an HDMI version 2.0 interface. The monitor rests on a graceful "leg", there are no holes in the case for a wall-mounted placement in its assets.

Samsung continues to rely on curved monitors, offering customers more and more models of different classes. New for 2019, the Samsung U32R590C is a pretty interesting and moderately affordable multimedia monitor that gives you a little bit of everything. The model uses a 32-inch VA panel with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. Thanks to a fairly fast matrix with a response time of 4 ms and a radius of curvature of 1500R, it provides maximum immersion in what is happening on the screen. And 4K resolution will get rid of any graininess issues. According to personal feelings, the picture of the Samsung U32R590C is almost at the level of gaming IPS monitors.
U means universal
If you don’t sit back to back, then on such a diagonal it’s equally fun to watch your favorite TV shows or go through the third Witcher again while you’re in quarantine. It is a pity that the refresh rate is only 60 Hz, this is not enough for a full-fledged gaming monitor. Yes, and FreeSync integration would definitely not be superfluous. Apparently, in this way, Samsung decided to cheat so as not to compete with their gaming monitors. Although, they still added a simplified game mode. At the same time, a fairly wide coverage of the sRGB and Adobe sRGB colour space will appeal to novice photographers, designers and video editors.
Upscaling and Picture-in-Picture
Additional tricks up the sleeve of the Samsung U32R590C are a digital upscaling converter that artificially increases the image resolution, and a picture-in-picture mode that greatly simplifies working with professional software. On such a diagonal, an additional monitor for displaying a toolbar or a DAW mixer is not really needed. The design of the monitor also begs for a compliment: thanks to the barely visible side frames and a miniature tripod, it looks elegant, and the plain back panel with a fabric-like texture sets it apart from the monotonous competitors. It’s bad that the tripod stand turned out to be too tiny and sometimes it seems that the massive panel will simply crush it. Although, during testing, we did not have such problems.
