Modern 23.6-inch Full HD curved monitor with AMD FreeSync technology. A distinctive feature of the Samsung C24F390F was the curve of the screen with a radius of 1800 mm. This is much more than the usual distance to the user's head, but, nevertheless, such a screen causes a much more pronounced effect of "immersion" and reduces eye fatigue. It is based on a high-quality full eight-bit SVA-matrix, equipped with W-LED backlight with Flicker-Free technology.
At a resolution of 1920x1080, it provides a pixel pitch of 0.272 mm and a density of 93 ppi. Its image is distinguished by high-quality colour reproduction and an improved static contrast ratio of 3000: 1, which is three times higher than conventional IPS panels. The maximum brightness of 250 cd/m² guarantees comfort in any ambient light intensity, and the vertical and horizontal viewing angles approach the maximum possible 178 degrees.
With a fast response time of 4ms (GtG) and support for AMD FreeSync technology, the monitor handles both games and dynamic video with confidence. To connect to a computer, laptop or game console, you can use a D-Sub (VGA) connector or a more modern digital HDMI 1.4 port, a high-quality cable for which is provided in the package. The monitor has a modern discreet design and an external power supply. Stand allows you to change the angle of the screen from -2 to +20 degrees.
Samsung is the first company to start massively bending monitors. In the wake of the success of the previous model with a curved screen in the face of the Samsung S24E510C, the South Korean brand has released the next generation of monitors with an even smaller radius of curvature (1800R vs. 4000R before).
Comfort for the eyes
The curved shape allows you to plunge headlong into what is happening on the screen, without being distracted by surrounding objects, and increases the level of comfort for the organs of vision. Visual load can also be reduced by activating a special Eye Saver Mode, which reduces the brightness of the blue component of the spectrum. And the flickering of the screen backlight is effectively combated by Flicker Free technology.
Full HD screen
The screen of the model is based on a VA-matrix with FullHD resolution (1920x1080 pixels). Compared to IPS solutions, this type of matrix provides much higher static contrast ratios — 3000:1 versus 1000:1 for most competitors in the class. The response time, measured by the Grey-to-Grey method, is estimated at 4 ms, which allows you to use the monitor as a gaming monitor. Especially for gamers, a GameMode mode is provided with automatic optimization of parameters and support for AMD FreeSync technology — adapting the refresh rate of the monitor screen, depending on what frame rate a graphics card that supports this technology can currently provide.
Omnidirectionality
The display of the Samsung C24F390F is framed by thin frames, the glossy surface of which effectively shimmers in the light. But from a practical point of view, glossy plastic on the front panel cannot be called the best solution, since dust particles are very visible on it. Another disadvantage of the model is the external power supply. However, both of these shortcomings are so insignificant against the background of the other advantages of the model that it is definitely not worth using them as an argument against when choosing a monitor. But you can give preference to the model for its omnidirectionality without the slightest hesitation, because there are simply no direct rivals of the Samsung C24F390F among 24-inch monitors.
Good to know. Flicker-Free technology controls the LED backlight by varying the DC voltage to eliminate screen flicker.
