Model overview based on user reviews
Sennheiser CX 200 Street II are compact wired in-ear headphones with a comfortable fit and strong passive isolation. Their main strengths are clear sound with prominent, deep bass and secure in-ear placement. The sound signature is not fully neutral: several users note recessed mids or sharp highs, often improved by equalizer adjustment. The most common practical complaint is cable noise from rubbing against clothing, while long-term durability receives mixed feedback, with some users reporting years of use and others experiencing a failed channel or cable within months.

Excellent model in its price range. I chose between jbl and sony for the same price and did not regret it.
If you set the equalizer correctly, they will be simply beautiful.
No remote control

good model, liked it

Used for six months. The sound is excellent, they handle both low and high frequencies. I never turned the volume up to full (too loud). Alas, the socks broke after six months, thin though, and the plug (that's what broke). But overall, good headphones for that price.
+Inexpensive
+Look good
+Don't fall out while running
+Fit well in the ears
- Broke down very quickly, lasted half a year, bought in January (on the 6th), broke down in July (on the 22nd).
- Thin wires

Good headphones for the money
4 February 2010
Despite their simple appearance, these headphones sound just as good as the CX300 or CX400 models, even though they cost almost half as much. It's pleasing that they come with a 2-year warranty, which is more than sufficient. There is a similar model by Philips, the SHE9550. In terms of quality, they are basically the same.
The headphones are very small and almost unnoticeable in the ears, but the sound quality does not suffer at all. The sound is voluminous and clear. Sound insulation is also very good, they do not fall out of the ears. The L-shaped plug is more resistant to wire breaks in the pocket than a regular straight one.
They don't look very expensive

Popular questions

Verified yesterday, Olexandr Cherkashchenko

Can they be connected directly to a phone or player?

Sennheiser CX 200 Street II connect via a standard 3.5 mm mini-jack and have an impedance of 16 ohms, making them suitable for portable players, computers, and devices with this type of connector. A compatible adapter is required for smartphones without an audio output.Source:Specifications

How much does cable noise interfere with the Sennheiser CX 200 Street II?

When walking, and especially when running, the cable rubbing against clothing can be transmitted to your ears as rustling or thuds. This is usually not critical for relaxed listening, but active users should route the cable under their clothing.Source:General information

Is the noise isolation sufficient for transportation and noisy streets?

Sennheiser CX 200 Street II usually provide good isolation from external noise when fitted with the right silicone ear tips. Buyers particularly note the comfortable fit and the fact that music can be listened to at a moderate volume while traveling.Source:General information

Are the Sennheiser CX 200 Street II suitable for those who like pronounced bass?

For pop, electronic music, and hip-hop, they are often chosen for their pronounced bass and sufficient volume. At the same time, the midrange and treble may sound less even, so not everyone likes their sound for rock and complex instrumental recordings.Source:General information

Is the Sennheiser CX 200 Street II comfortable for running?

This model has a fairly secure fit, and in several reviews, the earbuds did not fall out while running. The main trade-off for workouts is the noise from the cable rubbing against clothing, which can be noticeable during pauses and with quiet music.Source:General information

Are they reliable for daily use?

Reviews of the Sennheiser CX 200 Street II’s durability are mixed: some users listened to them for several years, while others experienced one channel failing or problems near the plug after a few months or a year. When purchasing, it is worth checking both earbuds immediately and handling the cable carefully.Source:General information
