High impedance (120 Ohms) and require an amplifier for proper operation and full acoustic output.

Simple in terms of features, yet highly advanced in sound, these headphones are brought to the market by the popular and renowned company Sennheiser. This is a full-sized Over-Ear model, which completely covers the user's ears, providing additional noise isolation and a better immersion into the audio content. The velour ear pads ensure a soft fit, while the open acoustic design allows for ventilation inside the cups for maximum long-term continuous use.

The Sennheiser HD 560S headphones are distinguished by good sound with even bass frequencies. The high-strength magnet transducer easily reproduces deep lows and well-defined highs. The manufacturer claims a playback of an extended frequency range — from 6 Hz to 38 kHz. Connection to the signal source is exclusively wired, but both the classic mini-Jack (3.5 mm) and Jack (6.35 mm) interfaces can be used, provided a special adapter is used. The headphones weigh only 240 g, making them hardly noticeable on the head even during prolonged use.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Sennheiser HD 560S headphones are highly praised for their lightweight and comfortable design, making them ideal for extended listening sessions. Users commend the exceptional sound quality, particularly noting the clarity and detail in instrumental music and female vocals. The headphones deliver a neutral and honest sound with crisp bass, clear mids, and vibrant highs, appealing to both audiophiles and professionals. However, to fully experience their capabilities, a good DAC or amplifier is recommended due to their high impedance of 120 Ohms. While some users mention the price as a downside, the overall consensus is that the HD 560S offers a remarkable listening experience, especially when paired with a quality audio source.

You need a good source, I have creative ae-5, otherwise you won’t hear all the advantages.
The sound!!!, it’s just gorgeous!, instrumental music, female vocals are simply amazing with clarity and detail, the mids are heard perfectly, without dips. I’ve never heard anything like this before. I found what I’ve been looking for for so long and couldn’t find

Sennheiser HD 560S are excellent open headphones for home use
16 December 2025
I've been using the Sennheiser HD 560S for about 1 year, and I can say these are headphones for those who appreciate a pure, honest sound without embellishments. They don't try to impress with exaggerated bass or a "wow effect," but they do convey music very accurately, just as the author intended. They are particularly good for home use, audio work, listening to high-quality recordings, and games where soundstage and positioning are important.
Very even and natural sound (neutral frequency response, close to studio quality)
Wide soundstage — easy to determine the direction of instruments and sounds
High detail: small nuances in music are well heard
Comfortable fit — can be listened to for several hours without fatigue
High-quality build, lightweight
Well-suited for music, games, and movies
Don't require a very powerful amplifier, but sound even better with a DAC
Open type — the sound leaks out, not suitable for outdoor use Bass isn't "heavy", but precise — those who love powerful lows may not like it Long cable might not be convenient for everyday use Simple design without a "premium effect"
Artemuse Sennheiser HD 560S more than year
Can be easily purchased, provided you have a DAC, preferably more than $100

Universal headphones for musicians, sound engineers and music lovers

The Sennheiser HD 560S headphones are often recommended as a more affordable alternative to the beloved Sennheiser HD 650 headphones. They strive for high precision sound, allowing audio engineers and audiophiles to hear music in its purest and most undistorted form.

Sound like the Sennheiser HD 650

The HD 560S features an open design that promotes a natural and expanded sound field. The 120 ohm impedance makes them easier to use compared to the HD 650. The sound character of the headphones features crisp and controlled bass, clear mids and vibrant highs. The sound is honest and neutral, but not boring. Sound localization is at a high level, which makes them ideal for both professional musicians and music lovers.

Lightweight and comfortable headphones that do not tire at all

The quality of materials and assembly is on par with the Sennheiser HD 599. Soft velor ear pads and generous padding on the headband provide a comfortable fit without excessive pressure. Despite the open design, the headphones provide fairly effective passive noise isolation, letting in less external sound than competitors such as the Philips Fidelio X3, AKG K702 and HiFiMan HE-400SE.
