On-ear full-size closed-back studio headphones with a foldable design and a detachable cable. Traditionally for Shure, headphones are characterized by a neutral sound with a smooth tonal balance, without distortions towards powerful bass or crystal-clear highs. To some, this sound may seem boring, but monitor headphones are not bought for entertainment - they are needed to quickly detect and correct inaccuracies in the mix with frequencies, dynamics and a stereo scene.
The model is positioned as an entry-level product, which is best suited as the main headphones for a novice musician/engineer, or as a second monitor pair to more expensive headphones. The Shure SRH440 has a foldable design that takes up half the space and can be stowed away in the included case when folded. The hinges are well made and will last a long time. The weight of the headphones is only 200 grams, so the design is not particularly felt during operation. The headphones are equipped with a detachable three-meter braided cable with a one-way supply and a 3.5 mm jack. The kit also comes with an adapter for a 6.3 mm jack, so the device can be easily connected to synthesizers, sound cards, mixing consoles, desktop PCs and smartphones with a separate audio output.

Bought in December 2018 for the studio, to mix and record. Initially, everything was great, the sound was superb. But after a month, the ear cup holder broke. The thing is, the holder is plastic, which initially bothered me, but it has some reinforcement. HOWEVER, this reinforcement ends at the junction between the speaker and the beginning of the arc attachment mechanism, leaving just thin plastic there. During recording, or even just during use, when you want to hear your surroundings or talk to someone, you pull the other "ear" away and that's it... the plastic can't handle it since the speaker is quite heavy and the arc is sturdy. I WANT TO RIP THE HANDS OFF the designer or engineer who designed this. I bought it thinking it was a renowned brand, the sound is praised, BUT WHAT'S THE USE!!! of great sound if you can't wear them! I sit like an idiot, soaking it all with instant glue. OH yes, of course I first took them back to the store for an exchange (it had been a month of use) to OnlineTrade.. eventually, they told me it was mechanical damage and they wouldn't replace them! End of story. I hope my review helps someone to avoid buying this low-quality product and invest their 5-7 thousand rubles in better models. Perhaps Shure has reliable and good models, but I won't be checking that anymore. Sound The design is not reliable, the plastic shackle, even with careful use, broke. use Shure SRH440 few months |
In general, the sound is of high quality, it sits pleasantly on the ears, but there is a rather large drawback. Since the cable is twisted, it constantly gets tangled and tangled so that you can’t immediately figure out how to untangle it. Very high quality sound, wide frequency range. A little inconvenient cable. |
