The lens has a complex optical design—consisting of 21 elements in 15 groups, including four FLD lenses, three SLD glass elements, and two aspherical elements. It also utilizes the proprietary multi-layer coating SLMC. The model boasts excellent resistance to glare and halos, additionally effectively suppressing sagittal coma. The High-response Linear Actuator (HLA) linear motor is used for autofocus. The lens is equipped with a manual focus ring with a physical lock, an aperture ring with smooth or click stops, an autofocus mode switch, and a programmable AFL button. The front lens of the mode...l is convex, thus standard filters cannot be installed on it. Instead, a rear holder for filters is provided near the mount. The Sigma 15mm f/1.4 Art DG DN is available for cameras with Sony E-mount and Leica L-mount. The model comes with a petal hood and tripod foot. Note, the lens is quite heavy—around 1.4 kg. |
