The zoom lens covers a wide range of focal lengths from wide-angle (24mm) to telephoto (70mm). At any focal length, the minimum focus distance is 40 cm, and the aspherical lenses used in the design of the lens guarantee effective correction of distortion and all types of aberrations. The focus system uses the Helical Focus (HF) mechanism, which provides linear movement of the optical unit without rotation of the front lens group and thus allows the use of a polarizing filter and petal hood.
The lens comes in a kit for Canon EF, Konica Minolta AF, Nikon AF, Pentax AF or Sigma AF mounts.
