Glossy Finish
Externally, the TP-LINK NC250 draws attention with its shiny glossy materials in the body construction. The white plastic is complemented by a black insert at the "eye" of the lens, surveying the surroundings at an angle of about 64°. The upper part of the camera is able to rotate in all directions, thanks to a reliable metal hinge.
Video Recording Parameters
The one-megapixel sensor of the model records video at a maximum resolution of 1280x720 pixels. Users also have access to a 4x digital zoom function (naturally, with loss of detail in the frame). However, the camera is not suitable for shooting in the finest details, but its capabilities are more than sufficient to provide adequate visibility of what is happening in front of the lens. The more affordable younger brother of the model, the TP-LINK NC220, records video at an even lower resolution — 640x480 pixels.
Additional Mission
Remote access to the camera is available via a web interface from a PC or the tpCamera app for mobile devices. In addition to the video surveillance feature with motion detection and shooting in low-light conditions, the TP-LINK NC250 also extends the range of the Wi-Fi network (acting as a repeater).
