The WD Purple WD10PURX hard drive is ready to work in simple RAID arrays. In case of simple failures, Time Limited Error Recovery technology will help maintain the integrity of the RAID structure. Thanks to the built-in vibration sensors, the drive provides stable performance. systems containing multiple disks, which makes it possible to easily scale the video storage subsystem as needed. Quiet, not fast, cool, with a good out-of-the-box surface, works perfectly with dash cams. I have two such drives, one in the dash cam, and one as a dump drive on the PC. Quiet, relatively inexpensive, with a good platter surface (both drives that I bought had no failures in either access speed or addressing), cold (even in a small recorder case, the temperature, at an ambient of +23 degrees, does not exceed 38 degrees never got up). Large buffer of 128 MB. By the way, it is perfectly recognized by iron, both ancient and modern video recorders. Slow, it is not suitable for the main disk on a PC, well, it is intended for a video surveillance recorder, as stated on the official website of the manufacturer. I can't evaluate how it performs when used for its intended purpose. It was not purchased as a dashcam, but as a file dump, as a second hard drive in the computer. It is spacious, quiet, and does not heat up. The only downside is the speed, but reliability and silence are more important to me. It's been working for two years, no bad sectors.
