The Xilence Performance X M906 is a single tower, single fan air cooler that, although massive, weighs only 900 grams. It is able to handle a not too hot processor in semi-passive mode, or a moderately hot one in quiet, always-on mode. Thanks to the TDP declared by the manufacturer at 250 W, it is suitable for use even by novice overclockers.
An array of aluminium fins is located on one side, away from the DIMM slots, so as not to interfere with the installation of high RAM modules, and on the other hand, a cutout is made so as not to conflict with the motherboard VRM heatsink. The fins and copper heat pipes that make up the cooler are painted in a single black color, which not only gives it a stylish look, but also protects against corrosion.
To contact the processor, the heatpipes pass through a heat plate polished to a mirror finish. The speed of rotation of the complete fan can vary from 500 to 1500 rpm. The tower height is only 154mm making this cooler suitable for use with the latest Intel LGA 1700 and AMD AM5 sockets.
