The device is based on the same hardware platform as the original Nintendo Switch and can run all the games available for the old model. In addition, it supports online games and Wi-Fi connection with other consoles.

The key feature of the technology itself is its versatility, thanks to which the device combines the advantages of a classic stationary and portable console in one case. For example, the Nintendo Switch bundle includes two Joy‑Con wireless controllers and a special docking station. The manufacturer has implemented at least three different modes of using the device. First, the user can attach the controllers to the side faces of the console and play on the road. The second — thanks to a special stand, the device can be fixed in a vertical po more→sition on the table and played like that. The third is to connect the set-top box to the docking station and TV, and connect both controllers together, thus forming a classic gamepad, and use the device as a stationary console.

Having replaced the original Wii, this model not only continued the traditions of the series, but also introduced several new original solutions. So, the design of the controller actually blurs the line between desktop and portable consoles: it is actually a separate portable console with a microphone, camera and its own 6.2" touch screen, where, if necessary, you can switch the gameplay from an external screen. At the same time the console is compatible with the games and all the accessories of its predecessor.

A portable game console, in fact, a modification of the advanced 3DS model, created with the expectation of simplification and corresponding reduction in price. The simplification affected primarily 3D capabilities — none of the 2DS screens are capable of reproducing 3D (although the camera for creating three-dimensional images has not disappeared). Another difference is the clumsy body. The rest of the characteristics of the device have not changed much: two displays with the same dimensions (3.53 "and 3.02"), a Wi-Fi module, an accelerometer with a gyroscope, flash-based memory (2 GB) plus a card slot. The package includes a stylus and a 4 GB card.

As the first handheld console from Nintendo to support 3D, this model still has very advanced 3D capabilities. So, the upper display is capable of displaying a 3D image visible to the naked eye, and the software part allows you to adjust the “three-dimensional intensity”, and the camera is equipped with a pair of lenses for 3D shooting. The bottom screen is made touch, the delivery set includes a special stylus. Additional equipment includes a Wi-Fi module and an accelerometer with a gyroscope.

Although this console is similar in name to the original 3DS XL (and even the screen sizes are the same — 4.88 "and 4.18"), it is much closer in terms of characteristics to the "regular" New 3DS, released in the same 2014. Of these characteristics, it is worth noting, first of all, support for 3D graphics (the "calling card" of the whole family), additional controls (including a second analogue joystick), NFC support, in addition to traditional Wi-Fi, 1 GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot. The console has 2 cameras, with the rear equipped with a twin lens for shooting 3D, and the front one has an eye tracking function to optimize the 3D image on the display.

A high-end portable console, the successor to the original 3GS, retaining its basic principles and at the same time having a number of changes and improvements. The most noticeable external differences are an expanded set of controls (including a new analogue stick) and larger screen sizes — 3.88" and 3.33". In addition, the set-top box received an improved processor, a microSD slot (instead of SD), an NFC, and improved 3D capabilities. Features such as 3D shooting using the rear camera and tracking the user's eyes from the front have been preserved. But the built-in memory has decreased to 1 GB. The console is compatible with older games for the DS family.

Completely obsolete in terms of performance, it still remains popular thanks to its unique gameplay: wireless joysticks with accelerometers allow you to simulate the same movements that are used in real life (hitting a tennis racquet, swinging a fishing rod, etc.), but for Due to the huge number of additional accessories, the game becomes even more interesting.
