FLOS IC C/W2 Ceiling Light/Wall Light Matt Black FLOS - Living room - Designer - Glass - Globe F3179030

The IC C/W2 wall light balances simplicity and elegance, juggling form and function. The simple light spheres rest on a filigree metal rod, boldly taking their place and proudly illuminating the brass or chrome surface. The IC C/W2 wall light is part of a lighting series consisting of table lamps, floor lamps, wall lights and pendant lights, all of... morewhich stubbornly adhere to their solid DNA, which is characteristic of the entire series. The simple and light design means that the lights fit into many styles. Michael Anastassiades describes the inspiration for this lighting series as follows: "I stumbled across an online video clip featuring a contact juggler, Tony Duncan. He was juggling several balls, moving them over his arms to his fingertips. As I was completely mesmerised by the magic of his skill, I suddenly saw the balls come to a complete standstill, and it was precisely this moment that I wanted to capture in my design! And then I stumbled across old photographs of Paul Cinquevalli, who was captivated by the art of contact juggling. That was my starting point. The initials IC come from the code used by the English police to determine the ethnicity of the person they stop on the street in their report back to the station. So that's the playful story that defined the different designs." Material: Base in brass or chrome with an opal glass shade. All table and floor lamps are dimmable.

Flos Flos - Wall light IC - Black - Varnished steel - Designer Michael Anastassiades f3179030

Flos Wall light Black Glass. Dimensions: Diffuser: Ø 30 cm - Structure: Depth 41.6 cm x H 31.6 cm - Wall fitting: Ø 11 cm. Art deco style for this refined and minimalist lamp composed of one blown glass sphere balancing on a fine metal holder with sharp angles. A sculptural and sophisticated light construction exploring the theme of balance. Michae... morel Anastassiades, a Cypriot designer based in London explains: I came across a video of a juggler. He was spinning a set of balls, moving them along his arms to his fingertips. And as I was fascinated by the magic of his art, suddenly the balls seemed perfectly still. I wanted to capture this precise moment. It was my starting point.. The initials IC come from the codes that the English police use in their reports to define the ethnic background of people who they stop in the street: IC1 for a Northern European individual, IC2 for an Hispanic person, IC3 for an Afro-Caribbean person, etc. It is a fun way of defining the different models of this collection. > Flash sale: special price for a limited time only.
