Auto-pause when idle

— the function of turning off the heat during short pauses in operation (lack of user activity) reduces the risk of overheating the surface and makes styling safer.

Usually, there is an accelerometer and a position sensor inside: if the device is lying still (often horizontally on a table or mat) and there is no movement, the electronics put the heating element on pause or sharply lower the temperature. When lifted in hand and movement is detected, it quickly returns to the selected degrees.

In practice, this is convenient when styling strand by strand, as the device is constantly put down between approaches, when in a hurry in the morning, as well as at home where it's important for the styler not to remain hot while you switch to something else for a minute.
