Universal joint

— a device, if necessary, installed as an adapter between the tool and the nozzle (usually a socket head, cardans are not used for bits). The cardan allows you to transfer force to the nozzle even when the axes of rotation of the nozzle and tool are at an angle to each other. This allows you to work with fasteners located in hard-to-reach places where it is impossible to reach with a traditional straight tool.
