Spline socket drives
Socket heads (Spline)
— socket wrenches with a working surface in the form of a twelve-pointed star. They differ from twelve-sided sockets (see the corresponding section) in that the protruding "points" of the star in Spline are not sharp but rather flat. However, these types of attachments are similar. For instance, Spline allows the tool to be rotated by repositioning the socket every 30 degrees, which is convenient for work in hard-to-reach places. Additionally, this attachment is multifunctional, suitable for its "native" fasteners, hexagons, and even squares (though caution should be exercised in the latter two cases, as there is an increased risk of stripping the edges).Show
