G class

— a kind of analogue amplifier, created to eliminate the main disadvantage of class A \ B — relatively low power. Their distinguishing feature is two options for the supply voltage used during operation: at a low level of the input signal, the device operates at low voltage, and if it is necessary to produce a significant volume, it switches to high. This significantly increases efficiency while maintaining the main advantage of analogue devices — high sound quality. On the other hand, such amplifiers are quite expensive.
