Zen 2 Renoir CPU computers
AMD Zen 2 Renoir (4th Gen)
— processors from the fourth generation of chips based on the Zen microarchitecture, one of the first families built on top of Zen 2.The Zen 2 microarchitecture itself was released to the market in 2019 as continuation of the original Zen and Zen+, using smaller 7nm process. In addition, one of the improvements over its predecessors was an increase in the number of instructions per cycle; the Specter vulnerability was also fixed. Specifically, the Renoir family was announced at the beginning of 2020. Mobile CPUs of this family installed in PCs mainly belong to the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 series, chips from the second series are positioned as direct competitors to the Intel Core i7 Ice Lake. At the same time, TDP in some models does not exceed 15 W — with 8 processing cores and fairly advanced integrated graphics.
