Desktop PCs Apple series Mac mini (nettops)
Apple Mac mini
Apple Mac mini is a line of compact desktop PCs designed as an alternative to the MacBook series laptops and iMac all-in-one PCs. As conceived by Apple, this is a universal mid-class PC that looks nice, doesn’t take up much desk space, and supports all the latest connection and communication technologies. Despite its size, such a compact PC must cope with more complex photo and video processing, 3D modeling, code compilation, etc.
The typical Mac Mini is a neat little silver box made of brushed aluminum with the Apple logo on top. The dimensions of the device usually do not exceed 20x20 cm, and the weight of the box ranges from 1 to 1.2 kg. Unlike Apple laptops, the back panel of a typical Mac Mini is generously littered with connectivity ports, including HDMI, LAN, standard audio out, and several USB ports of various types, most of which support the Thunderbolt protocol. Depending on the specific version of the Mac Mini, you can connect 2-3 external monitors to it simultaneously.
Regarding processors, the situation is similar to Apple laptops: until 2020, all Californian nettops were based on Intel chips, and after that they switched to single-chip Apple M series chips, which successfully developed the ideas of Apple A mobile processors. Moreover, this could be a basic version of the processor with 8, 9 or 10 cores, and an improved Pro version with 16 or 20 cores. Anyone can choose the rest of the filling based on their needs: the amount of RAM starts from 8 GB and can reach 64 GB, and the maximum capacity of an SSD drive can reach 4 TB.
