AptX

This codec is used exclusively in models with Bluetooth (see the relevant paragraph) — to improve the quality of the sound transmitted through this connection. This improvement is necessary because Bluetooth technology inherently compresses the audio signal a lot, which degrades the sound quality. aptX technology is designed to remedy the situation: the original version of this codec, according to the creators, allows you to achieve sound purity, "comparable to Audio CD (16-bit / 44.1kHz)" and almost as good as a wired connection. This is often enough even for comfortable listening to lossless formats, not to mention MP3 and other popular compressed formats. And in some models, an even more advanced version is used — aptX HD; here the sound quality approaches Hi-Res (24-bit/48kHz) audio material. However, such quality in consumer audio systems is extremely rarely required, and it is expensive; so there are few devices with aptX HD on the market, the original aptX is much more common.
