Cascade Lake-X processors
Intel Cascade Lake-X (10th Gen)
— high-end Intel CPUs family released in the fall of 2019. They mainly belong to the Core i9 series, and technically they are a slightly accelerated and improved version of the Skylake-X Refresh chips — they are also built on a 14-nm process technology and use a similar microarchitecture. The most notable novelty was a noticeable reduction in cost — almost twice as compared with the CPUs of a similar class. Of the practical improvements, it is worth mentioning an increase in the number of PCI-E 3.0 lanes (up to 72, taking into account the motherboard chipset), an update to Turbo Boost technology, support for DDR4 memory up to 256 GB and a set of DL Boost instructions that increase efficiency when working with artificial intelligence, and also compatible with the proprietary Performance Maximizer overclocking utility.clear | Save List |
