Built-in card reader

— built-in card reader — a device for working with removable memory cards. Such cards are widely used in modern portable devices — mobile phones, cameras, pocket players, etc. Card readers are available as separate devices, usually installed in a 3.5" slot; however, if you are building a PC to work with memory cards — perhaps the best choice would be a case originally equipped with such a module.

Modern card readers usually support at least SD / MMC cards, but compatibility with other formats is better to be specified separately.
