This is somewhat more reliable than the first level, but in fact there is no fundamental difference between levels P-1 and P-2 , both of them are not intended to maintain privacy, but only for additional convenience when disposing of paper.

For optical discs, the second level of security involves cutting into fragments up to 800 mm², for credit cards — up to 2000 mm².
