In this mode, the hood constantly drives the air in the room through its own filters. This method of operation is not as effective in terms of air purification as ectraction, and for effective odour removal, active absorbent filters must be used, which have a limited service life. On the other hand, recirculation does not require an intensive influx of outside air, which in some situations is important — for example, in the cold season, when it is undesirable to “blow out” the heated air from the room. In addition, a recirculation-only hood does not need an air duct; this facilitates installation and allows you to create devices with an original design and the ability to place them anywhere on the ceiling.
