In appearance, the country style is, in fact, the opposite of the modern style: such hoods are made in rather warm colours. Moreover, they often are complemented by decorative elements such as “wood-like” sides or a small metal “crossbar” in the front ( similar to a curtain rod). A similar appearance hints at the interiors of village houses and old kitchens. Such a hood will fit into a retro-style kitchen (formally, “retro” and “country” are still different styles, but in the case of hoods, this difference is almost imperceptible).
