Belt driven turntables
prices on 149 models— the belt drive transmits rotation from the engine to the player disc through the belt (belt). It is this option that is considered optimal if you need a player “to just listen to music”: being much cheaper than a direct one, a belt drive provides excellent uniformity and smoothness, except that the belt needs to be changed periodically (however, usually its service life is several years). But for DJs, a belt drive is not suitable: it does not provide the necessary acceleration speed and, in general, is not designed for scratching.
