— the belt drive transmits rotation from the engine to the player disc through the belt (belt). It is this option that is considered optimal if you need a player “to just listen to music”: being much cheaper than a direct one, a belt drive provides excellent uniformity and smoothness, except that the belt needs to be changed periodically (however, usually its service life is several years). But for DJs, a belt drive is not suitable: it does not provide the necessary acceleration speed and, in general, is not designed for scratching.
