Second tonearm installation

— installing an additional tonearm allows you to use two pickups with different characteristics on one turntable — for example, for normal speed and for 78 rpm (see the relevant paragraph) — and choose the best option for a specific situation, without fiddling with rearranging the cartridge and reconfiguring the tonearm. In the most advanced models, more than two tonearms may be allowed.
