Direct drive turntables

However, such a design puts forward special requirements for the quality of electric motors, since. any irregularities and vibrations noticeably affect the sound quality. Therefore, direct drive is rarely used in "audiophile" models — in the absence of obvious advantages over belt transmission, the design turns out to be noticeably more expensive.
