Children's (for schoolchildren)

— telescopes designed primarily for school-age children. In addition, it can also be useful for an adult — if the user is just learning the basics of astronomy and does not need powerful optics, or if the device is bought for observing ground objects mainly in daytime conditions.

All children's models are refractors. The diameter of the lens in them does not exceed 70 mm — this is quite enough for observing planets and constellations, and at the same time, the microscopes are quite light and inexpensive. The degree of magnification is usually less than 200x, although there are exceptions. Also quite a popular feature is the diagonal mirror, which allows even the smallest explorers to comfortably look through the telescope.
