— the minimum number of buttons found in modern mice and other types of manipulators. Usually, these are the classic "left button" and "right button" known to any user. At the same time, such equipment can be provided both in ordinary mice (see "Device"), and in other types of manipulators — for example, in separate "transformer" presenters that can work both in the mouse format and as a remote control.

Two-button mice are for the most part as simple as possible, but even this design is usually quite sufficient for use in modern operating systems, programs and games. And in some models from this category, the lack of additional buttons can be compensated by other solutions — for example, a multifunctional touch panel (see "Functions and Capabilities"); so this option can be found even in individual gaming devices.
